01
We’re interested in what happens between people and software.
Sensory Neutral is an independent digital product studio exploring the relationship between technology, interaction and human experience.
We conceive, research, design and build digital products of our own, while partnering with others to transform promising ideas into considered software and experiences.
Our work begins before the interface. We study the problem, the information behind it, the people who will use it, and the interactions that connect them. We look for complexity that can be removed, capability that can be uncovered and opportunities for technology to feel more natural.
From an initial idea through research, product strategy, interaction design, engineering and implementation, we consider the product as a whole.
Because we build and operate products ourselves, we approach client work with the same questions we ask of our own:
Should this exist?
What should it do?
How should it work?
And how should it feel to use?
We believe usefulness is only the beginning.
We research. We question. We design. We build. Then we keep asking how it could feel better.

Beyond utility.
Software can be functional and still be frustrating. Powerful and still be difficult. Beautiful and still fail to understand the person using it.
We consider the complete interaction: what someone sees, what they understand, what they expect to happen next, how the system responds and how those moments combine into an experience.
Research informs strategy.
Strategy informs design.
Design informs technology.
Experience informs everything.
